The success of our chosen suppliers for heritage and rare breed meats are testament to the increased value that our customers place on animal welfare, traditional farming methods and high quality, beautifully tasting real produce. The traditional and organic methods of breeding, rearing and finishing livestock used over generations are still as relevant today. This combination of outdoor rearing and the choice of breeds gives us quite simply an incredible taste - ‘the proof of the pudding is in the eating’, as they say. We have the choice of many native and traditional breeds including; Longhorn, Shorthorn, Belted Galloway, Dexter, Aberdeen Angus, Hereford, Red Poll, Highland Cattle and Welsh Black. They have a grass-based diet, which is what cattle have traditionally consumed for centuries.
